On November 17, 2024, “Will Dance for Food” won a prestigious global contest, earning its place on billboards worldwide - a defiant cry from Guatemala’s leftover scraps to the world’s stage. This 1/1 artwork, born from my $2-an-hour hostel days and the sting of overlooked meals, channels hunger and resilience into surreal satire, echoing Shigeru Mizuki’s lament for the starved. This milestone marks my journey’s unyielding spirit, pushing surrealism’s boundaries to confront inequality and spark change.
